Russia’s state-controlled Gazprom has confirmed plans to move forward with building an LNG plant at Vladivostok, but that it has again delayed a final investment decision (FID) on expand- ing the Sakhalin 2 project. “Sakhalin 3’s Kirinsky and South Kirinsky fields would provide gas for the first and the second Vladivostok LNG trains,” deputy chief executive Vitaly Markelov said on 21 May.
