London-listed Soco will avoid explora- tion activities in the Virunga national park in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as part of its plans to develop block 5. Preparations are con- tinuing for an aerial survey of the block, which will involve a helicopter flying over Lake Edward and the surrounding lowland savannah area.
