BP is offering reassurances over its strat- egy, arguing that its tie-up with Russia’s state-controlled Rosneft builds on its long-standing experience in the country and that its $38bn divestment programme initiated in the wake of the 2010 Macondo spill in the US Gulf of Mexico is creating a stronger company.
