In a greenhouse pot trial, B. brizantha cv. Marandu and S. guianensis cv. Mineirao alone or in mixture were grown on natural soil, soil without mycorrhizae or soil inoculated with Glomus etunicatum and given 0, 50, 100, 200 or 300 mg P/kg soil. Accumulation of P, K, Ca and Mg in the dry matter of aboveground parts increased with increasing P rate, and the effects were increased by the presence of mycorrhizal fungi.
