Libya in Marathon effort

Libyan state-owned oil firm NOC is negotiating with US independent Marathon Oil in the hope of persuading the company not to pull out of Libya. Marathon is a partner in Waha Oil, which is 60pc owned by NOC. Marathon and US firms ConocoPhillips and Hess hold the remaining 40pc.
