Nigeria’s oil production could fall by around 25pc, or 500,000 b/d, by 2022 if the planned petroleum industry bill is passed into law, Nigeria’s Oil Produc- ers Trade Section (OPTS) says. Nige- ria’s petroleum ministry estimates its share of earnings from oil and gas pro- duction would increase to around 72pc under the bill from around 61pc now.
