Qatar to merge LNG producers

Qatar's state-owned QP plans to merge its LNG producing subsidiaries, Qatargas and Rasgas, creating a single entity with around 77mn t/yr of combined liquefaction capacity. QP owns majority stakes in the two firms, with other shareholders including ExxonMobil, Total, US independent ConocoPhillips and Shell.
