India unveils new drilling policy, gas pricing formula

India’s cabinet has cleared new drilling rules to replace an 18-year-old policy that has done little to boost the country’s oil and gas production. The new upstream rules offer a uniform exploration licence, an open acreage policy and a revenuesharing model that will be easier to administer.
