More than 90pc of the 210 rigs tracked by Colombian oil service association Campetrol were inactive in April, around a quarter more than in the same month last year. A total of 254 rigs are registered in Colombia, Campetrol says. The main reason for the dearth of activity and investment is the government’s 70pc take of profits, Colombian oil and gas association ACP says.
