US midstream firm Energy Transfer Equity's Sunoco Logistics Partners unit will buy fellow subsidiary Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) in a $20bn all-stock deal. ETP is the main company that is building the controversial 470,000 b/d Dakota Access crude pipeline. The tie-up will allow greater integration of Sunoco's natural gas liquids operations with ETP's natural gas gathering, processing and transport business.
