摘要

Advances in the identification of mutations that lead to the development of acute myeioid leukemia (AML) include a growing understanding of the role of miRNAs in AML. miRNAs are small, noncoding RNAs that regulate gene expression. The role of various miRNAs in the pathogen-esis of AML is under investigation, and specific miRNAs may impact response to chemotherapy and overall survival. Published data has demonstrated the clinical significance of several miRNAs in AML, particularly in patients with cytogenetically normal AML (CN-AML) [1,2]. In this paper, Marcucci and colleagues report on the clinical relevance oimiR-155 upregulation in patients with AML.
