Children draw with rulers: a symbolic sign of post-conflict adjustment?

Mental health has been recognized as one of the key issues for the people living in conflict-affected countries.1 Children are also affected and certain percentages of them are likely to have mental and/or behavioral problems.A report had pointed out mental health issues among adults living in East Timor3 but there has been no report concerning children. The aim of this study is to investigate mental health issues in children who were born and grew up in East Timor, a country that has experienced a series of national level conflicts.
