A response to the letter to the editors about 'flumazenil administration in poisoned pediatric patients'

We read with great interest the article, "Pediatric All-Terrain Vehicle Trauma: The Epidemic Continues Unabated," published by Blecker et al in Pediatr Emerg Care [2012;28(5):443-447]. In this study about the epidemiology of all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accidents, the authors review the data of 250 cases of ATV crashes involving the pediatric population in a period of 5 years (2004-2008) admitted to a level I trauma center. Interestingly, in this 5-year period, the incidence of pediatric ATV accidents had an absolute increase of more than 90% (29 to 53 cases).
