摘要

Although adult and pediatric organ transplantation are based on similar principles, pediatric transplantation is associated with unique and complex challenges, related to the technical, physiological, and psychosociological issues. Yet as specialists, we have seen enormous progress in pediatric transplantation in recent years with high survival rates across all forms of solid organ transplantation. Consequently, we now face the challenge of managing the transition from childhood to adolescence and then to adulthood in our transplant patients.
