摘要

The repetitive behavior of inserting foreign bodies is known as polyembolokoilamania and has been described in psychiatric disorders.1 Swallowing of or penetration into body cavities of different objects has been previously reported. However, intentional insertion of a foreign body different from a piercing into the tongue is rare. We present the case of a female teenager who presented to the ED with difficulty swallowing after deep insertion of a piece of a comb (the tooth of the comb) into her tongue.
