III (XIII) All-Russian Meeting on Soil Zoology, 1–5 October 2002, Yoshkar-Ola, Russia

摘要

The 111 (XIII) All-Russian Meeting on soil zoology took place in Yoshkar-Ola (Republic Mary-El, Russia) from 1 to 5 October 2002. It was organized by the Subcommittee on Soil Zoology, Russian Soil Science Society and by the Institute of Ecology and Evolution, Russian Academy of Science in the Mary State University, one of the oldest regional centers of soil zoological research in Russia. The Meeting was devoted to the 90th anniversary of Academician M.S. Ghilarov, the founder of soil zoology in Russia. The motto of the Meeting was "The diversity and functioning of soil communities". More than 100 soil biologists from 31 cities of Russia and former Soviet republics (Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus) participated in the Meeting. The materials reported were published in the book "Problems of soil zoology" (Striganova, 2002).
