Berdolls take new approach to pecan nursery business

A familiar name will soon be back in the pecan tree nursery business in Texas -- indeed the trees are now in the ground and flourishing. However, Hal Berdoll is doing things quite differently this time. Based in Central Texas between Austin and Bastrop, Berdoll is a successful pecan grower on the Colorado River and has also produced large numbers of nursery trees in the past, mostly bareroot but some container trees as well. As their interests turned in other directions, Hal and wife Lisa opted to phase out their nursery business and sell some of their property in this rapidly developing corridor east of Austin.
