Field day features native pecan bottom restoration

Participants of the Pecan Field Day in Comanche County held Aug. 2 at the Robertson Ranch in Downing, Texas, received an exciting lesson in restoring old native pecan bottoms. County extension agent Bob Whitney organized the event in which 60 participants came to see the native pecan bottom orchard on Copperas Creek. Paul Lollar and Danny Davis from Pecan Valley Partners are taking on the task of the long-term renewal of this orchard.
