Many corrosion resistant metals/alloys have been used in various industrial processes involving corrosion-causing harsh environments. Among these, tantalum alloys are known for long service-life for critical components due to its their corrosion resistance properties. But the disadvantage in using this alloy is that it suffers from hydrogen embrittlement. Thus The "development of a material, which is effective at corrosion resistance and not undergo hydrogen embrittlement is a significant challenge.
