INITIATIVE TO LAUNCH RECYCLING LABELS ON PACKAGING MATERIALS

Retailers in the segment of food packaging have launched a universal on-pack recycling label initiative to provide consumers with standardized information about whether the packaging can be recycled. Asda, the Co-operative Group, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury's, Tcsco, Waitrose, Premier Foods, and Associated British Foods are all happy to be a part of this initiative, which they have expressed in the form of signing up for this scheme. Many retailers, suppliers, and processors are also being encouraged to participate in the scheme.
