A US District Court jury in Chicago has fined Gillette Co. 10 million dollars for infringing on patents owned by Syndia Corp. the patents cover the DLC diamondlike coatings Gillette uses on its Mach3, Mach3 Turbo, and Venus razor blades. Syndia's attomeys plan to seek permanent injunctive relief against future razor sales if Gillette does not agree to a license from Syndia.
