Commission Ill Agricultural Use of Peat and Peatlands

IPS members in all countries who are interested in the topics of Commission III are requested to help promote and develop its activities. The membership of Commission III is dominated mostly by university researchers from the following 10 countries: Belarus, Canada, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Russia and the Ukraine. During the 12th International Peat Congress in Tampere, former and new members of the Commission agreed to continue their interest in base line problems related to the "utilisation of peat and peatlands in agriculture.
