摘要

National Committees have been and are the basic building block of the IPS. They provide a local platform for the exchange of information between peat and peatland professionals and organisations in a country. Through the National Committees, individuals, institutes and corporations can learn from each other and benefit from the membership services IPS provides, such as special events, excursions, seminars, magazines, journals and newsletters. National Committees offer the structure, funding and experience required that neither the IPS Secretariat alone nor individuals can provide with such quality and consistency.
