Just when we were wondering if anyone bothered with the CVH turbo anymore, we discover this track-prepped XR2. There's no skool like the old-skool... In an age when Zetec conversions are now a common transplant into cars that were born with a CVH, it's actually a rare treat to find a Ford that still uses the good old compound valve angle hemispherical combustion chamber. At least one that stands out from the crowd that is. There are still examples doing the rounds of course, ranging from the modified but still relatively run-of-the-mill, to the occasional unmolested, low mileage show-stopper, but as a rule, the CVH turbo is something of a forgotten engine.
