Anyone that's got an interest in track days, or even just spirited driving will have, at some point, broached the "is it worth running road legal semi slicks on my car?" question. Or from a slightly different angle, the regular track day goer that runs their car on semi slicks may have wondered what the benefits of full slicks would be over their regular tyres. Well, these people are not alone, as we've been having the same thoughts ourselves. We've run our own track cars on road tyres, road legal track day tyres, full slicks with hand-cut grooves in them, full slicks, and various other incarnation of tyre, and have noticed some big differences between them.
