With HT Racing behind its creation, this has to be one of the most complete three-doors out there. Track cars. There are a few different ways of going about getting hold of one. Many will be happy just to buy a cheap old Ford, perhaps a little tatty round the edges, and strip it out to go and have some fun. Others might choose to lighten their road car up a bit and add some trick suspension and a cage, with the aim of using it for both road and track. However, there are others for whom nothing but the best will do. For evidence of that thinking, you only need to look at Russ Dack's amazing three-door, our Sept 09 cover car, that's now taking the scene by storm. And, not wanting Russ to feel lonely at the top, this month we bring you what must surely be another of that finest three-doors around today. It's another track day special that's been built with a no-compromise, no-shortcuts approach, and it has just as much raw ability, Its owner, Rob Tomlin, is a bit of a perfectionist (which is perhaps the reason for his occupation - he owns and runs Supercar Detailing, a mobile detailing outfit based in the south east of England), so when he decided to go hunting for a track car, it was always going to have to be something pretty special to match up to Rob's high standards.
