As we travel through our mini-series of how successful race cars are created from their road-going cousins, it was inevitable we would want to look at what goes into developing a successful drag racer. However, we wanted something that was part of the same actual family, rather than something formed from miles of steel tubing with a throwaway plastic body on top, which vaguely resembles something that was once on the road.
