If you're after a good track car, an XR2 takes some beating as a starting point: it's lightweight, has a great handling chassis and has plenty of tuning potential. Paul Dolan's superb 1985 XR2 is an excellent example of just how good the sporty Mk2 can be, with some well thought out modifications. You may well recognise this car; Ben Birch, former PF editor, has previously owned it.
