A new system for removing heat discolouration from stainless steel welds is now available in the UK. The TIG Brush?', invented by Australian product development company, Ensitech, is a safe, cost-effective and environmentally-friendly way of removing "heat-tint". It offers an alternative for "picking paste" - the toxic acid mix and the most common method of heat tint removal - and simultaneously completes the passivation process that restores the corrosion-resistant properties of the stainless steel after welding.
