PASSENGER TERMINAL WORLD'S EXPERT PANEL SELECTS THIS YEAR'S CHOICE OF THE WORLD'S MOST NOTEWORTHY AIRPORTS AND FACILITIES. Airport redevelopment schemes are being carried out worldwide, together with new build airports and terminals, despite the global economy. As one of the judges commented, "Airport build programmes are a bit like ocean-going tankers; they are difficult to stop." This year has seen several of the judges' favourite airports make a re-entry but for different reasons from two years ago. This is very good to see, indicating that those airports and terminals are not appreciated just for one particular passenger service and that high standards spread throughout the operation.
