Durr has unveiled a world first for fully automated automotive painting in the form of the new 'EcoRP E043i' robot. While conventional painting robots work with six motion axes, the new model has a seventh axis. This makes the Durr robot an unrivaled mover and opens up new options and cost-cutting potentials. The third generation of Diirr robots, unveiled on October 24, is controlled using the new EcoRCMP 2 smart robot controller.
