WAVE OF SUCCESS: A 21ST CENTURY TERMINAL REQUIRES A 21ST CENTURY SECURITY SOLUTION

Security solutions from CEM are used by airports worldwide including over 80 percent of UK airports, among which are Manchester, Birmingham, East Midlands and the new prestigious Heathrow Terminal 5. Heathrow Airport's flagship Terminal 5 (T5) has been successfully using CEM AC2000 integrated security management systems to secure and enhance operations since its opening in March 2008. T5 has two CEM access control solutions - one for the main airport operator BAA and one for the T5 dedicated airline operator, British Airways (BA). Collectively the AC2000 security systems at T5 consist of over 1,000 CEM IP card readers and 70,000 ID card holders, with the overall BAA access system forming part of a main BSI (Building System Integration) system.
