AIRPORT SYSTEMS INTEGRATION CAN ASSIST DECISION MAKING IN A MANNER THAT MEETS THE USER'S NEEDS WHILE BEING MANAGEABLE, LOW RISK, RELIABLE AND COST EFFECTIVE. Airports the world over have been experiencing rapid growth over the past decade, putting more pressure on maintaining a high level of service. The priority is no longer on just getting passengers through the airport quickly; there is a new emphasis on security, comfort, retailing, travel information and many other factors. There is a need for a more accurate decision making process, based on actual or near-actual data on operational conditions in the airport. This kind of information will only be available in an integrated airport environment.
