摘要

Late nights discussing the latest Nature, Cell or Science publication with fellows, Hematology rounds discussing the flow of K+ ions across red cell membranes and why this was important to the patient's hemolytic anemia, hours of arguments with architects about where the gas petcock should be placed on the bench in the next research building, this is the Sam Lux we have all come to love. Sam's dedication to the field of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and his commitment to the people under his wing are monumental, but for me, most of all, it is Sam's relentless pursuit of the very best trainees to become Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologists that I appreciate the most.
