Public PCs located in placeslike schools, cybercafes, tradeshows, and libraries tend tobe infected with password-stealing Trojan horses morefrequently than most othersystems. Many of these pub-lic PCs aren't closely moni-tored by their owners, which increases their vulnerability. And because scores of casual visitors use them to loginto e-mail or other services, data thieves view the PCs as an efficient source of har-vestable information, which they then sell to spammers and other unsavory types.
