In recent years,the growth of the agricultural sector in terms of GDP increase has remained behind most other sectors with just over 2% growth in constant terms, as compared to a GDP growth of over 4% for the economy as whole. Within the agricultural sector, crops areoutstanding in terms of contribution to GDP (28%), while forestry and livestock sectors each contribute between 2.5% and 3% to the GDP.
