Pebble partners to spend up to 70 million dollars for permitting

The Pebble Ltd. Partnership board has approved a 59 million dollars budget and work plan for 2009, with the potential for spending up to 70 million dollars, to complete a prefeasibility study and to prepare the giant Pebble copper/gold project in Alaska for permitting in 2010, partner Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd. reports. The other partner is Anglo American US (Pebble) LLC, a unit of Anglo American plc.
