On May 27, Golden Phoenix Minerals Inc. agreed to sell its interest in the Ashdown moly project in Humboldt County, Nevada to Win-Eldrich Gold Inc. for 5.3 million dollars and the next day formed a joint venture with Scorpio Gold Corp. to restart gold and silver production at the Mineral Ridge mine in Esmeralda County. Under a "standstill" agreement, the companies would be taking up to 45 days to perform due diligence on the property.
