Chartham 'Newsprint'

Those of you who approached the newsstands in the UK on Tuesday April 27 will have noticed The Daily Telegraph had a rather different look and feel to normal. An outer wrapper of tracing paper, supplied by Arjowiggins Chartham Mill, was printed on a 4-colour web press with an advertisement for one of the UK's largest banks. This rather unusual use of tracing paper, which is a first for the UK market, although it has been run previously in some European countries, is yet another example of how nowadays the grade is used more for decorative effect than for traditional purposes, such as by draughtsmen.
