Coated free sheet producers in North America are working at or near cash-cost levels - their paper is being sold with very little margin because high costs have counteracted the modest price gains of 2006.In 2006, New Page achieved a 21 price increase which took the price of coated freesheet to 893 a ton while sales volumes increased by 4% to 2.1 million tons.
