For this edition, PITA Affairs has moved to the very end of Paper Technology; and perhaps that is wholly fitting on this occasion. Bringing up the rear (so as to speak) conveniently allows an opportunity to reflect on the year and look forward to 2015. Whilst there have been many exceptions, I believe that most people involved in Papermaking (and many of the associated industry sectors) across Europe would agree that 2014 was another challenging year and we have seen many of those since the summer of 2008. In fact, some have argued (and this was a reiterated during European Paper Week) that 'stagnation' is a part of the new normality.
