Billerud Beetham installs river water filtration system

Beetham Mill is installing a filtration system which will enable it to use river water for the production of packaging for the food and health care markets.The pound120,000 installation will provide the Cumbrian mill with 200,000 litres of water per hour,ie 5 million litres a day.This substitution for expensive mains water will reduce the mill's operational costs and its environmental impact.
