Cropper optimistic despite profit slump

Speciality papermaker,James Cropper reports a 58% fall in pre-tax profits to ￡785,000 for the year ending on 27 March 2004.During the year turnover increased by 3% to pound55.6 million.The paper division achieved a 1 % increase in sales to ￡40.1 million but operating profits fell by 62% to pound415,000.In the converting division operating profit fell by 28%.
