The Future Structure of PITA

The finances of the Association have been under pressure for some time and as-previously reported the financial year 2005 resulted in a very large deficit in excess of pound 57,000.At the May 2006 meeting of the PITA Board of Directors the Chief Executive included within his report a statement to the effect that he did not believe the income stream of the Association in the foreseeable future could support the current cost base of the Association and the Directors should therefore consider the future structure of the Association with a view to removing pound 40-50,000 from the cost base.He went on to advise the Board that it was his intention to retire from his position as Chief Executive of PITA within the next twelve months and it would therefore be logical for any changes to be made to coincide with his retirement.
