Removing restrictive deadline for PRN accreditation

The government is to remove regulations which are proving to be a barrier to the increase of UK packaging recovery rates,namely the 30 Sept deadline by which i) UK reprocessors must apply for accreditation to issue packaging waste recovery notes (PRNs) during the approaching year-only mills and plant on the reprocessing list of 30 Sept are qualified to issue PRNs.This prevents new or expanded reprocessing plants from being accredited part-way through a year.
