Proactive break prevention on PM14 at Aylesford Newsprint

A web inspection system has reduced web breaks on Aylesford PM 14 and achieved payback in just 3 to 4 months. High speed cameras capture events on the fast moving PM and the system synchronizes images from the wet end to the dry end.Synchronization enables the production team to relate breaks to their causes since the root cause of breaks frequently occurs earlier in the process.
