摘要

Sn-ZSM-5 membrane was impregnated with ionic liquid (IL), namely 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate, and then the new membrane was used to separate butyl acetate-water mixtures by pervaporation. The average separation factor of butyl acetate increased with IL-Sn-ZSM-5 membrane than without IL. It was observed that a higher affinity of the IL for butyl acetate increases the permeability of the membrane more than 1.5 times, whereas lower changes in the selectivity occurred. The maximum separation factor α of more than 326 was achieved for a 0.6 wt% aqueous butyl acetate solution at 323 K for IL-Sn-ZSM-5 membrane.
