摘要

Two mononuclear Schiff base copper(II) complexes, [Cu(L1)(2)] center dot 2NO(3)(1) and [Cu(L2)(2)]center dot 2Br (2) (L1 =2-bromo-4-chloro-6-[(2-diethylaminoethylimino)methyl]phenol, L2 = 2,4-dibromo-6-[(2-isopropylaminoethylimino)methyl]phenol), were synthesized by the reaction of Schiff base ligands with copper salts in methanol solution. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The Cu atom in each of the complexes is four-coordinated by two Schiff base ligands, forming a square planar geometry.
