摘要

Ten new complexes of thorium(IV) and dioxouranium(VI) with a new heterocyclic bass, i.e., 4-vinylpyridine (4-VinPy) have been synthesized in non-aqueous medium and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, magnetic moments,molecular weight determination and i.r. spectral studies. They have been assigned the general composition ThX(4).n(4-VinPy) (X = C1(-), Br-, I- or NCS-, n = 4; X = NO3-, n = 2) and UO(2)X(2)-2(4-VinPy) (X = Br-, I-, NCS-, NO3- or CH3COO-). Thermogravimetric and X-ray powder diffraction studies of some representative complexes have also been reported. The coordination number of Th(IV) is 6, 8 or 10 and for U(VI) 6 or 8 depending upon the nature of anion present. [References: 32]
