Synthesis and characterization of some new monophenylantimony(III) derivatives of bifunctional tertradentate ligands

Monophenylantimony(III) derivatives of bifunctional tetra-dentate ligands having the general formula PhSb[RC(NC_6H_4S)CH_2 (NC_6H_4S)CR~1] where R=CH_3,R'=CH_3,C_6H_5 and 4-CH_3C_6H_4;R=CF_3,R~1=CF_3 and -C=CH-CH=CHS have been prepared by the reactions of triphenylantimony(III) and the corresponding ligands. These compounds have been characterised by elemental analyses, molecular weight determinations, IR,~1H,~(13)C and ~(19)F NMR spectral studies.
